Happy People Don't Find Spirituality

I was listening to a video, and the dude said this quote - "happy people don't find spirituality". It’s so true, at least for me and many spiritual friends. Most genuine, spiritual people find this practice at the deepest, darkest time of their life. This is because you start to question everything, and the fact that there must be something more than this. There has to be more to life than pain and suffering. There has to be more than the work, eat, sleep cycle. A spiritual awakening occurs.

Most of us go through life unconsciously, not questioning anything. But there is so much that we haven’t been told, so much that is hidden from us. They don’t want us to know the truth, they don’t want us to know the power we hold. Why? Because we would be self reliant, we wouldn’t need them any longer. They would no longer have control over us.

Spirituality isn’t for everyone. It brings the shadow parts of yourself to light, for you to work through. The trauma you’ve been though, the things you’ve done that you wish you hadn’t. You start to become more aware of your unconscious actions, and conditioned thought patterns, so you can make changes. The ego starts to dissolve.

True spirituality is not easy, but it’s worth it. You become a better version of you. A happier, more at peace version. Your true self.

It isn’t a destination, it’s a life long journey. But when you put in the work, life becomes more magical, and you start to attract the things and people that are meant for you.
